Like most Charlotteans, I have this love affair with Charleston. The history, tucked away restaurants, colorful houses and romanticism of downtown just wraps me up like a warm blanket. I breathe deeper and longer when I’m there, soaking everything in.
When I met Alison and David we discovered our mutual love for Charleston, as well as old black and white movies… specifically, one’s staring Cary Grant. When they mentioned doing their engagement session in David’s hometown, and styling it towards “To Catch a Thief” I was thrilled to be challenged and leaped at the opportunity. We started the day at McCrady’s…
Ok, so you seriously never know where you’re going to meet your next client or colleague. About 3 years ago Ryan and I were out on a Valentine’s Day date, and Sarah was our server. She mentioned her extensive party planning background, and on a whim I gave her my card.
3 years later she’s married (blog post coming soon), has her own wedding planning business (more on that later) and is soon exiting the food service business to pursue planning full time… as anyone with a dream, determination and dedication should.
I was so honored that Sarah remembered me and asked me to be apart of her and Matt’s special day. We photographed their engagement session this last fall, and had SO much fun together. Enjoy!
