It was a random phone call… very random… but to say I was intrigued and honored to participate in this industry event is putting it mildly. When Amy explained the concept of the blindfolded dinner, yes you heard that right… blindfolded, I was so excited! And receiving the invitation in the mail only whetted my appetite!
Chef Luca is from Passion 8 Bistro, a real Italian chef (accent and all) running a superb gourmet restaurant. His passion for food was so evident in everything that we tasted, and was brought out all the more by not being able to see what we ate. We enjoyed everything from lobster to liver and finished it off with a decadent chocolate cake. His passion for food was equally matched with the designers decor, invitations and even a paint by number cake that Amy’s assistant, Nicole, had spent all day designing. This event was definitely one for the history books!
