Can I just say how much I love these two? Ben and Sarah have been nothing but a fun and exciting couple to work with. They have just exuded excitement over getting married, and have had nothing but complete trust in their vendors to make it happen.
Ben and Sarah met in college… well, they knew of each other in college, but didn’t start dating until 2010 when they ran into each other at a bar in Mooresville… and found out that they had both relocated to Lake Norman.
About a year later they were on a cruise in the Bahamas and went to St. Lucia on an excursion. When they asked their driver to take them to all of the hot spots, he took them around to all of his friends trying to get them to buy stuff! As a man about to propose you can imagine how frustrating it was to Ben!
Sarah says, “I knew I was going to marry Ben, but I wouldn’t have thought he would have brought the ring through all that security… and act so normal through the whole thing!”
Ben and Sarah’s wedding was amazing. All of their unique touches really made my day, including: napkins embroidered with their initial by Sarah’s mom, the super detailed cake topper, the personally bought centerpieces, and handcrafted cakestand. The more a couple can showcase their personalities, what’s important to them and details that explain where they came from the better. Everywhere I turned there was another unique touch they had added.
Sarah’s dress was AH-MAZING… look at all those layers! If you missed her bridal session, check it out here.
Sarah… you are breathtaking…
We grabbed one of their napkins for a cute picture, but Ben wears glasses so we had to remove it for the real deal…
This picture takes my breath away… every. time.
Waiting for the ceremony…
Ok, how cute are these two??
I’m usually not one for cheesy shots like this, but c’mon! They had a SIGN that said WEDDING!
Look how detailed this cake topper is! Ben’s mom had it specially ordered from England from Cheryl Locke
. Ben and Sarah opted to cut a cake topper, but opted to have different flavors of cheesecake for their guests, as they’re “not big cake people.”
A friend of the couple snapped Polaroids during the cocktail hour as their guest book…

NAILED this wedding, this couple and their vision… loved working with this amazing planning team!
The couple gave out personalized mason jars as favors for to their guests…
The couple asked for all of the father’s and daughter’s to join them on the dance floor during their dances… so sister/maid of honor jumped right in… LOVE this series.
And the sister’s decided to put on a dramatic act to Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”… and fall out on the floor after attempting a Russian kazachok in a wedding dress!
And a guest decided to entertain the mom’s… priceless…
